Terms of Service
Last updated: October 8, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and InfiniteGoose (“we”, “us”), the company that makes SecondCut. They apply when you use the SecondCut app at app.secondcut.org, this website, and any related services (together, “SecondCut”). By creating an account or using SecondCut, you agree to them. If you use SecondCut for a company or client, you confirm that you can accept these terms on their behalf.
1. What SecondCut does
SecondCut turns long videos into short, captioned clips, lets you publish landing pages that show those clips, helps you find and manage business contacts, and sends email campaigns from inboxes you connect. With Channel Watch, it can also check a YouTube channel you connect and clip new uploads automatically.
We keep improving SecondCut, so features may change. We won’t remove a core feature you are paying for without telling you first.
2. Your account
- You need an account to use the app. Give us accurate details and keep your login secure.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account and in your workspaces, including what your team members do.
- Tell us right away at support@secondcut.org if you think someone else has accessed your account.
3. Plans, credits and payment
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices and what each plan includes are shown before you pay.
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance of credits. Clipping a video, finding a lead, launching a campaign and publishing your first landing page use credits. The allowance renews every month, and the app shows your balance.
- If a video fails to clip, the credits it used are returned.
- Taxes may apply depending on where you are.
4. Your content
“Your content” means the videos, links, clips, captions, landing pages, contacts, emails and other material you add to or create with SecondCut.
- You own your content. We don’t claim ownership of it.
- You give us permission to store, process, copy and display your content only as needed to run SecondCut for you. That includes transcribing and analysing videos, making clips, hosting your landing pages, and sending the emails you schedule.
- You need the rights to what you use. Only upload videos, link to videos, or connect YouTube channels that you own or have permission to use. The same applies to logos, music and anything else in your content.
- Published landing pages are public. Anyone with the link can view them and download the clips on them.
5. Email and contacts
When you send campaigns with SecondCut, you are the sender. You are responsible for:
- having a lawful reason to contact the people you email,
- following the email and privacy laws that apply to you and your recipients, such as CAN-SPAM in the US and GDPR in the EU and UK, including identifying yourself and honouring opt-out requests,
- how you use any contact details you find or import with SecondCut.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use SecondCut to:
- send spam, or messages that are misleading, harassing or unlawful,
- infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights,
- upload malware, or try to break into, overload or reverse-engineer SecondCut,
- resell or share access to SecondCut outside your plan,
- break the rules of the services SecondCut connects to, such as Gmail and YouTube.
We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these rules.
7. AI output
SecondCut uses AI to pick moments, write titles, captions and hashtags, and score clips. AI output can be wrong or unsuitable, so review it before you publish. Clip scores are estimates of how likely a clip is to stop the scroll. They don’t guarantee views, reach or results.
8. Third-party services
SecondCut works with services run by other companies, such as YouTube, Gmail, your email provider and Stripe. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We aren’t responsible for their availability or actions.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using SecondCut at any time. To close your account, email support@secondcut.org. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or don’t pay. After an account is closed, we delete or anonymise its content within a reasonable period, except where we must keep information to meet legal obligations.
10. Disclaimers
SecondCut is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet every need you have.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, InfiniteGoose won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim related to SecondCut is limited to the amount you paid us for SecondCut in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using SecondCut after that, you accept the new terms.
